Plastic Needle Set

Multiple Treatment Options: The Plastic Needle Set has been designed for various HDR interstitial brachytherapy treatments, including head and neck, breast and prostate. The set contains 20 plastic needles, 16G, with an outside diameter of 1.65 mm and a length of 200 mm. They can be used with or without the corresponding templates.

Meeting Clinical Needs: Before inserting a plastic needle, a reusable steel needle is used to create the implant channel. Reusable obturators serve to maintain needle stability during implant and prevent kinking and damaging the needles. Plastic needles are provided sterile for prompt clinical use and are intended for single use only. Waste avoidance is achieved by providing the sterile needles in packages of one and five pieces per package. To meet clinical needs, the plastic needles are available in lengths of 150 mm and 300 mm with corresponding obturators.

Secure Fixation and Better Visibility: Optionally, fixation balls are available to secure the needles to the patient. X-ray markers can be utilized for better visualization on images.
